Victoria Dennis
Founder / Director
Architect
At 26, Victoria made the move to step out on her own and establish TDDP Architects. Victoria has since built up a team of skilled architects and collaborators to work with her on residential projects including new builds, additions, and renovations of homes. She limits the number of jobs the studio takes in to enable her to maintain an intimate role in all of them, from design through to realisation.
Victoria establishes trust through active listening and open communication. It is very important to her that clients feel comfortable and confident to entrust her and her team with the hopes and dreams for their family home.
Victoria takes the time to guide and advise her clients whilst giving them time to absorb new ideas and concepts in what can sometimes feel like a steep learning curve. It is important to her to learn how they live as a family and understand their values and beliefs.
“I believe that family homes should reflect the family and not just the architect”.
In fostering a culture of respect, Victoria is able to deliver design solutions, a vision that aims to exceed expectations, and first-class service.
All her projects reflect the simple premise that you don’t have to pay a cost penalty to build a well-designed home. It is possible to reap the benefits of your home environment every single minute of every single day of your life.
“The joy is palpable: seeing a family in harmony and at peace with their new home.”
Her commitment and success in practice are evidenced by the number of repeat and intergenerational clients. For some families, she has designed as many as three homes. TDDP Architects has racked up over 25 years of enduring relationships with clients, team members, builders, and ‘tradies’.
Victoria’s love of Yoga, Mindfulness, and Meditation practices mirror the Architectural principles of grounding, lightness, and balance and help her to manage a pacy and fulfilling family life.
Jason Wong
Senior Architectural Graduate
A natural doodler, Jason’s drawing evolved from cartoons to the sets of drawings submitted to council for approval. To this day he still prefers to draw by hand first before drafting on CAD. Jason has an appreciation for regional style Architecture with ‘a modern take’.
His attention to detail and meticulous work contributes to the seamlessness experienced by our clients. Jason is due to sit his Registration Exam in 2021.
Jason’s hobby of snowscape photography has taken him to Iceland. He hopes to visit Scandinavia as soon as the travel bans are lifted. Jason also plays the acoustic guitar.
Janice lee
Architectural Graduate
Janice, born in Malaysia, obtained her Masters in Architecture at the University of Adelaide. Her interest in Architecture stems from childhood site visits with her father.
Janice has an instinctive appreciation for the potential of residential additions and renovations to turn a house into a home.
Personally, Janice enjoys the warmth and conviviality created in her kitchen when baking her famed semi-sweet crêpe cakes which bring joy and just a touch of sweetness into the lives of her friends and family.
Grace Tayler
Architectural Assistant
Grace obtained her BA in Architecture in 2019 and is hoping to combine work and study when she enrolls in her MA of Architecture course in 2021.
Inspired by Glenn Murcutt, Grace has a particular interest in sustainable projects, particularly passive design which includes solar energy and other sustainable design practices.
Grace has been known to go paddle-boarding with her dog on board.
Bronte parker
Architectural Assistant
Bronte joined TDDP after obtaining her Bachelor of Design in Architecture in 2019. She plans on returning to university to complete her Masters degree.
A keen interest in ‘passive housing’ and the green building work of Japanese architect, Shigeru Ban, have her fired up on issues of sustainability; rethinking the uses of materials such as paper cylinders, the embodied energy and carbon footprint of buildings.
Playing soccer at her local club and going for hikes in nature helps her maintain her fitness. To relax, she plays the piano.
Charcoal
Office Mascot
We are a pet-friendly studio and Charcoal, is our liveliest member of staff. A sincere greeter to visitors to our offices, he will either stand guard protectively or, if given the chance, slobber appreciatively. Nestled in remnant rainforest TDDPs grounds provide a home for many feathered and furred native species, we value them all.
