‘Kindred Renaissance’

Our design concept retains the existing well-built shell of the house while adding the warming lustre of an inviting material palette of natural stone and timber.

The rebirth of the property is evidenced by subtle enhancements of aesthetically pleasing additions and upgrades to the existing structure.  Set in natural bushland this North-facing property enjoys magnificent views towards Balmoral beach and the heads.

One of the highlights is the sculptural central stair which serves to ignite the space, bringing natural light and warmth from the unfurling skylight in the ceiling, down through to the timber flooring which grounds and illuminates the space.

American oak detailing and moulded timber treads add to the stunning aesthetic of the stair.  The use of timber throughout the foyer lends a soft organic movement to the space transforming a previously functional presentation into a flowing family environment.

Reflecting light creates a warm foyer and sculptured timber features conceal private rooms, service and storage areas.  Ingenious Italian lighting design allows for different moods as new European fixtures from beautiful pendants to concealed lighting bathe the home in a warm glow that is simpatico with the timber used throughout.

Stone limestone included in the bathroom materials has a textured finish evocative of light dancing off sand grains at the beach.
